Charlie played by Brendan Fraser is the personification of emotion and humanity in this film. Considering the movie is primarily set in the gloomy setting of Charlie's apartment we still get the true purpose of what the movie is about- the struggle of mental illness and eating disorders and how they can affect an individual plus their loved ones in day to day life.
